I am co-director of a USA registered 501 (c) 3 Charity which is striving to raise funds for needy children. Co Directors set up the charity in 2007 and it is a multi denominational and multi national charity. We now have a Duns number which allows us to apply for multi million $ grants through www.grants.gov. We were let down by an investor at start up but now we have the prospect to project the charity on to the international stage by our ability now to apply for grants worth 10s and 100s of Million USD. We will require to employ grant writers to secure the grants and also recruit a Charity Director who has links with multi national companies and high net worth individuals who understand the tax benefits to donating to a 501 charity. We also seek to carry out a TV campaign to bring in donations. Legally only 30% of income has to be used for the charity - the charity can offset costs for salaries and expenses - simply look at the huge income received annually by Oxfam and you will see the potential to recover money for the investment.
