I am a health club marketing professional looking for somebody to invest $15k to help open a niche fitness center in the Lansing, MI area. This is a newer concept in the fitness industry that is quickly becoming very popular all over the world. There is not yet any health clubs like this in the area. This will be a kettlebell training gym that utilizes kettlebells and other non-traditional forms of exercise. Members will be working with a personal trainer or be in a group class, depending on the membership option they choose. These styles of exercise have proven to be more effective than more conventional methods found in most health clubs and can be done in less time. The area I have chosen has excellent demographics in the 3 mile radius that we will be focusing most of our marketing efforts in. If marketed properly, health clubs are able to capture 3.5 to 4 percent of its population within its primary market. With the low overhead of this facility, it will be very profitable if capturing only 1%. There is no competition for a fitness center of this type within 45 minutes. An additional $15k is all that is needed to open this facility. I am open to either treating this as a loan or giving partial ownership of the operation.
